Peter Krusch is a blacksmith and sculptor who lives beneath Mount Mansfield in northern Vermont. Over the last thirty years, his work has been shown in many places, including the New England Craftsman's Guild in Boston, Massachusetts; Hopkins Center, Dartmouth College, Hanover, New Hampshire; the American Craft Council Shows in Baltimore, Maryland and Springfield, Massachusetts; numerous juried exhibitions; and Gallery II in Woodstock, the T. W. Wood Gallery in Montpelier, The Frog Hollow State Craft Centers, and the Stratton Mountain Craft Shows, all in Vermont.
His weathervanes were featured in a Smithsonian Magazine article "Prospering Winds for Weather Vanes". His finely crafted work ranges from traditional ironwork to imaginative fountains and sculptures. His fertile imagination and master skill with metal, combining the ancient methods of forge and anvil with modern welding techniques, produce perfectly crafted, unique works in iron and copper.
Much of Peter's work is by commission. He works closely with his clients to bring their ideas into reality. Contact him for more information.
